Long Term Care and Disabled Care are Top Priorities

The objective of Minnesota legislators is to improve state funding for elderly and disabled care programs.  This is alongside other top priorities like education and transportation of House speaker-designate Kurt Daudt, R-Crown.

These programs are not just beneficial for the aging population but as well as to the whole community since nursing homes and other long term care services are some of the largest businesses in most rural communities. 

Long term care in rural communities in Minnesota is underfunded and one legislator admitted that it’s hard to find money for the elderly and disabled. However, these legislators are keen in making big changes in nursing homes and other facilities through funding reform.
